#BC3002 guitar (Mosrite)

From eBay auction: Up for auction is my early 1970’s Acoustic Black Widow Guitar. This guitar
( like all the Acoustic Black Widows ) is black with binding on top and bottom
of the body ( nicely yellowed by age), with 2 pickups; 3 way selector switch;
and volume and tone control for each pickup. 4- bolt neck with “wavy” or offset
plate – please see photos ), large frets, and “0” fret, as well as Grover tuners.
Neck has volute at headstock, and the neck is the typical “flat” “C” shape of
these models.

All electronics work and guitar has very nice Black Widow buckle pad ( red with
white stitching ) on the back of the body.

Cosmetically good, but scuff near neck pickup; scuff on back of body near buckle
pad; and very small scuff near the word Acoustic on the headstock. Slight ding
in binding on neck at 5th fret and at top of headstock and 1/16″ ding on top
near binding.

Unique adjustable bridge ( with some pitting ).

The Acoustic Black Widow websites indicate that this model is the “Moserite”
version – the tell-tale “wavy neck plate”; 4 bolt neck; and serial number
( BC3002 ); and shorter headstock are cited as evidence. These guitars were
produced from 1970 – 1974.

Action is good ( I raised it a little for slide).
